Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts at Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida, USA

Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts at Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida, USA

If there is a 3D ride to end all 3D rides as we know them today this has to be the latest in Universal Studios’ Harry Potter and the escape from Gringotts! This multi-element ride sets the benchmark and changes the way rides will be designed in the future as well as it changes the amusement industry as a whole going forward!

Without spoiling the experience, suffice to say, that after descending down the cavernous vaults of Gringotts through stairs, walkways and elevators, you will grab a set of 3D glasses and enter a mine-style cart which will take you via a roller coaster style ride into a room where giant Screen Goo screens, totaling 17,000 square feet of projection surfaces, coated with Screen Goo Max Contrast coating provide all the magic and excitement.

These Immersive Projection screens were impeccably built and coated by Phoenix Rising out of Winter Garden, Florida. The largest of these screens is 110 feet in circumference and 45 feet high with a vertical and horizontal radius of nearly 55 feet. To read a white paper detailing Phoenix Rising’s Large Scale Compound Curved Immersive Projection Screens please go here.

We cannot publish photos of the installation all of which are copyrighted to Universal Studios but there are 100’s of photos and videos showing this magnificent 3D production that will leave you speechless. Some of the better ones can be found here:
