Hong Kong is one of the world’s major harbours – close to 200 million tons of cargo go through its port each year. An average of around 75 ocean-going vessels and 430 river-trade vessels arrive at the port daily making it the 5th largest in the world in terms of container tonnage.
The Marine Department acts as the Port Authority and is responsible for maintaining safety, environmental protection, search and rescue operations and it also conducts investigations of marine accidents.
Cosmovision, a company handling Screen Goo in Hong Kong and Macau for many years now, recently completed a major installation of the Marine Department’s Harbour Simulator using Screen Goo High Contrast coatings on a large curved surface powered by 7 Barco FL33 projectors.
