River Safari, Singapore’s Latest Attraction

Here’s a sneak peek of another exciting Screen Goo project, at Singapore’s latest attraction, River Safari.  Known to many as the new home to giant pandas, Jia Jia and Kai Kai, the River Safari theme park is set to become one of Singapore’s ‘must-see’ destinations.

For a close-up look at videos of life in and around rivers, Wildlife Reserves Singapore created a darkened cave-like experience in its Entrance Plaza, and had the walls, a combo of curved and flat surfaces, transformed into Screen Goo projection surfaces, where our ever-popular High Contrast coating was chosen. It is a visual treat for every single visitor as they make their way through this passageway before entering the park itself.

Screen Goo was applied on both curved and flat walls of River Safari’s Entrance Plaza. 33 liters of High Contrast Screen Goo was used for this project. Water based primers (solvent-free), were used prior to Screen Goo Reflective and Finish coats. Screen Goo was rolled onto the partitioned wall surface.

It took about 10 days to dry and cure the Screen Goo coated surfaces due to high humidity in the enclosed passageway. Projectors were put to the test while Screen Goo was still drying.
