Transformers 3D Ride at Universal Studios in Hollywood, California

Transformers: The Ride-3D is a brand new immersive, next generation thrill ride blurring the line between fiction and reality. Fusing High Definition 3D media created by Industrial Lights and Magic and flight simulation technology, this epic ride creates an experience unlike anything this planet has ever seen!

This mind-blowing new adventure ride puts you in the middle of the ultimate war zone!

In common with Universal’s King Kong’s 3D attraction featuring the world’s two largest Screen Goo Ultra Silver 3D screens,  Screen Goo Ultra Silver 3D coating was also used in the creation of the Transformers 3D ride. The Screen Goo coatings make a major contribution to producing breathtaking images with incredibly realistic “depth of field”. Guests riding in specially designed vehicles are drawn into a virtual world rendered with an intensity and presence never before seen. Riders move through seamless transitions between real and virtual spaces that “open up” the experience in unprecedented ways.

A new Screen Goo coating system called Ultra Max also features prominently in the queue section of the attraction.

Screen Goo Ultra Max, is engineered by Goo Systems for the new/next generation high lumen output projectors. Screen Goo Ultra Max features incredible black levels: images emerge from an inky black background with outstanding color accuracy and uniformity. Ultra Max also makes blending multi-projector images on flat or curved surfaces a much simpler proposition than conventional screens and does so with minimal light spill!

Screen Goo Ultra Max as well as several new +20 Gain On-Demand Screen Goo products have now been available to Systems Integrators worldwide starting during the last few months of 2012.

There are lots of video clips on YouTube showing Transformers: The Ride-3D and there will be much more after the ride starts to be shown to the public on May 25, 2012, just in time for Memorial Day weekend in the US.

Here is just a couple…
